Having trouble with Code 12
Okay, so on my 93 C4, I tried to pull the codes because the "Check engine soon" light comes on. When I connected the A and B terminal together on the DLC, I should have got code 12 to read and then the problem code. All I get was the MIL to flash once then twice over and over. It never gave me any code. What's my problem with that?

Edit: okay, long day. Figured out that the "check engine soon" light flashes are the code 12 but how do you decode subsequent "flashes"?
My car is flashing code 12 three times then flash (pause) 5 flashes.
Ah, okay, figured that out... just got back from a long trip, sorry guys - now for why it's giving me that code!

code 12 is just the all system ok code that spouts out to test the MIL and diagnostic port. any other code numbers would follow it with a little delay between number sets. they just repeat over and over.
