"CARFAX offers you access to the Site and to the Content available on the Site solely for your own personal and non-commercial use."

Maybe you could look up the definition of personal.

"The Corvette Forum does not condone any activity which is dishonest, unethical or immoral with that said, members will be required to purchase their own Carfax report, rather than to share a purchase from another member.

Although such activity does not directly affect the forum, it does promote a procedure which the forum deems to be inappropriate.

Carfax is used as an example, but, the rule will apply to any similar activity or business."

I don't see an exemption here for "explicit" versus non-explicit.

Ethical issues aside, it's still a violation of forum policy. Their roof, their rules.

I mean absolutely no offense and am here solely for fun and want to help but you're right, you are not sure. Title washing is an old practice that has gained new steam. I had a friend installing a stereo pull a door panel and guess what, mud line. It was a flood car. He went through hell but he got his money back.

Again, I just want to help. Check for your self:

From a little organization called consumer affairs

“Washing a title conceals a salvage vehicle's history of damage by moving the vehicle and title through several states. Some states do not pick up from other states the title branding that would show salvage or flood damage”

http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news0...na_titles.html

note the date, 2005. Like I said title washing is an old practice. Older than even this article. DMV, BMV, etc. don't really like talking about it. Insurance companies don't like talking about it either.

Here's why they don't want to talk about it. A law was passed to prevent exactly this, title washing, by developing a national system that tracks all VINs. This was over a decade ago the law passed. Guess what? No national system yet. Enter carfax and autocheck (pretty smart of them actually).

Again, check for yourself:
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news0...e_washing.html

Title washing happens ALL the time. It's big business.

YOU also agreed to abide by the rules of this forum when you signed up as a member. Maybe you could read those as well.
What exactly are you talking about? Did I ever say anything about the forum. How do you make this connection?

Soooo If YOU are looking for a car and purchase 30 carafes for personal use, and then your daughter says she needs a new car and could she use 1 of your carafaxes you are going to tell her to spend 50bucks and get her own? Yeah right
