Ok I'm getting a white poeder residue under the motors.
Could it be the bushings andd gears or just bushings.
Looks like I can take the cap of the motor where the gears are without pulling the whole thing out.
Any help on this fix would be great.
Bushings are only 5 99 for each light.geras are 29 each or 59 for bronze
You have to remove the light canister and take the motor off in order to get it apart (because of the cotter pin). The bushings have turned to powder, as did mine. There are several fine threads on replacing the bushings.
I was hoping I could fix them on the car
It would make life much easier
Nope. You'll have to remove to repair. The first side, you'll climb the learning curve. By the time you get to the opposite lamp, you'll be a master.
Put a cotton towel on your workbench so you don't scratch the finish on the headlight bucket and take your time. It's a good Saturday project where man bonds with machine.
