Don't know enough about Sea Foam.

Sea Foam is Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol), pale oil, and naptha.

Honestly, my can said it prevents rust for up to 1 year so I grabbed it and am going roll with it - it was under $10 for the can.

I think you could use a coat of mobil 1 and be fine. If you have some oil on the rotors and in a bag, then I think you are golden.

most definatly! it seems the moisture in the air will quickly ruin untreated bare metal parts. you own an RX-7, you know what i'm talking about i had one of my good eccentric shafts in a bag in teh shed. the plastic bag was taped tightly around the e-shaft and the e-shaft was coated with a light coat of oil. a mouse chewed through the bag and in the spot that was chewed through, rust set in and ruined the e-shaft. what a waste.

Oh man that sucks, in cases like that, I often wonder if it wouldn't be better to fill a 5 gallon bucket with a gallon or so of oil and just drop the parts in there and then put the cover on. Or maybe lithium grease on crucial parts.

if you REALLY want to preserve it safely/for decades, use cosmoline! ive cleaned cosmoline off of WWI Mausers and they are unchanged, rustless, and function just like they did when they were packed up!

Motor oil is good for rust prevention. WD-40 is not if you store the part long enough. WD-40 eventually dissapears. Clear coat paint spray also works good.
Here is a good site explaining rust removal by electrolysis. It sure beats the wire brush and persperation!
