88' Build Up Completed !! PHOTOS
Well it is completed, and better than I could of asked.
I have posted a few threads with some ongoing photos of the rebuilding of my L98 engine in my 88' Vert. I had a crack in the cylinder, so we had it sleeved and went from there. The process was done by a member here, and a great friend in our Corvette group. Chuck took this bull by the horns, and did this whole project with a bad back, and lots of pain ( he said this is the last build he will ever do) just for ME
His attention to detail is evident in much of what can be seen, but more important in the sound of an terrific engine. THANKS Chuck
Here are a couple of photos to look at, and I have made a webpage of the whole process that you can see more of the "down and dirty" of my engine from start to finish. It isn't as detail as PLXR's great write up he did recently, but it will at least be a little visual eye candy. Webpage is, http://starvedrockcorvettes.com/88/builduplarrys1988

Looks good!!
Are those the summit steel valve covers that are like $40? I am thinking of getting them. How is the fit? Do the studs for the bolts have a "D" machined in one side or is it a "Double D"?

Congratulations on the finished project and it looks like it turned out real nice. Looked at your web page and you got a lot of good pictures of the rebuild. The big question now is how does it run?

In response to the other question, yes they are $40 steel valve covers, using stainless steel bolts purchased locally. Powder coated the covers and plenum.

I read your web page. That motor looks Sweet.
Larry put up some pics of your vert. If you havent seen Larry's vert, its a real visual treat to see. Larry's vette is one of my favorites here in

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Thursday is my day off, and it actually is suppose to be the warmest all week -- 34 and sunny, so I am indeed going to take it and have some fun. I am an optiomist, so in just over 3 months it will be St. Patty's Day, and the beginning of spring !!
Corvette Mike I appreciate your comments also, its days like this I wish I was in So. Cal like you and could burn up some premium gas
Here is a photo like you asked Mike of my car this last summer at a big cruise night (mine is the white vert). Behind me is Chuck who did the beautiful engine work for me, with his very sweet black 85!
