My baby is in the garage with her cover and battery tender for company. When the sun comes out, and there's no snow on the ground I will take her for a short romp just to get the juices flowing again. Then, back into the garage again. IMHO, Car should be started and moved at least once or twice a month.
Hey Jim....I've only got you by 33 degrees....that ain't so bad is it? I'll have to recheck the thread in the middle of the day and see what the two gizmos read.
Put in your city in the seach box. About halfway down on the new page you will see a box on the left that says ....Free Weather Stickers® for Your Homepage!.
There are several styles, I'm using Weather Gizmo. The instructions are on the page.

Just curious.....what's your typical heating bill look like in the winter for you guys up north?
A lot better than your A/C bills in the summer
We're on equal billing, but the last time I checked, I think it was around $50.00 or $60.00 a month. Don't forget our houses, at least newer ones are extremely insulated.
Just uncovered my Vette and took it for a spin. Temp was 26 degrees, car sounded strong, magnaflows roared, gears were crisp shifting pulled like only a LT4 can. 1st to 3rd to 5th snap snap snap. *o mp, I mean 40 mph just like that. Rumble rumble rumble. Only the wind around the windows at 9* I mean 65 on the highway. Gosh darn it was quick. Then back to the garage and a cool down listening to the pipes crackle and the thoughts of the spring and summer coming up. Damn I miss the times a coming._________
BTW, FF, thanks for the Banner info but I have a iMac and it doesn't work... darn darn darn
Friz, using the gas furnace only it's anywhere from $80 to $110 a month. But it's hard to pin down because while we have gas heat, I also get a fair amount of firewood at the railroad and we have a wood-burning insert for the fireplace. If it's say 25 out, we use the furnace. But when it gets below about 20, rather than paying good money to the gas and electric co, we fire up the fireplace. So in a way, the colder it gets the cheaper it is! One of these years I'm going to get off my azz and get enough wood to run the fire all winter long and screw those utility folks!
It's 10 out and has been for over a day so the fireplace is getting a good workout!

I'm tempted to take a big swig of it....at least you don't get most PC viruses. If I could get my hands on the little turd that engineered the last one I got, I'd remove his pancreas with a spoon and feed it to him.

My highest bill this winter will likely be close to $200/month. I usually get one month like that a winter. If you average it all out I suppose I pay about $140/month for the winter. That's just the gas bill. The electric will run higher in cold months, too. And I have a newer house with all the latest insulation and stuff.

Here you go my friend....damn, you're almost as warm as El Paso is.....you see that Jim?

Don't let fear and common sense get in your way. Drink it; and for the very nervous, you can still run Windows on a Mac

Not too bad then. Do you even use A/C in the summer? My typical gas bill runs about $100-140 from Nov - Feb, then drops to about $50 the rest of the year. Electricity is around $70 over the winter...come summer, it averages about $150.
This house has a 300 square foot solarium on the back that I'm going to remodel into my exercise room / man cave this year. Getting rid of the big panes of glass and replacing with insulation and smaller double pane windows should drop everything a bit.
We also had new windows installed last year....high dollar double pane stuff. Not only dropped our bills but the house is much quieter now too. Now if I can figure out a way to deal with the skylights that are so drafty.....
