My 1990 needs starting fluid to start but it will start all day, but the next day it won't start. My fuel pressure is good, I am told but I have a couple fuel injectors that are low so this spring I am going to change out all my injectors. I hope that will cure the problem.
Good luck I will be interested what people have to say.
I'm assuming an 84, correct? Check your fuel pressure first. Not fun on a crossfire. I had a bib added on the crossover tube on my CFI with the corresponding fitting on a low pressure gauge by a hose and tubing shop....you will likely need a T fitting on the pressure line just after the filter. Use a low pressure vacuum / fuel pump tester (0-15 psi).
Mount the gauge, turn the key on but don't start, and tell me what reading you get. Remember that a CFI has a bypass regulator and it will bleed off immediately after the two second prime stops. You should get between 9 and 13 psi for 2 seconds.
There's much more to testing the fuel system, but let's start there and follow our troubleshooting procedure. I need to know what happens here to tell you what to check next....
