About 4 months ago I overheard my auto teacher talking on the phone about a Grandsport, (my school gets actual customer work, its kind of like a business) I started asking him about it and he said it needed a new pressure plate and throw out bearing. Ever since that day Ive been asking him about when its coming in and he just kept saying he didnt know if he would get involved or not. After bothering him about it every day he finally said "ill probably get it in after christmas break" so after christmas break i continued to bother him about it. Today I walked by him and he said it was coming in later today. He said he is getting it in just because of me. (because i bothered him so much) I cant wait, tomarrow i get to start on it.
I'm confused

I guess I was wrong, you could care less about Grandsports. I thought you guys would give me advice about the work I will be doing (some of you might have already did this on your own 6 speed c4) I guess I was wrong there too. You probably wouldnt understand anyway. I was going to post pictures but its just going to be a waste of time, you dont care. I really did expect more out of you guys. I bet the majority of you dont even work on your own cars or dont know what im even talking about so you decide to make fun of me on a forum with pictures, keep it up.
This makes no sense why you expect people to be excited about you begging to POSSIBLY work on someones GS. If you want advice or to give advice on working on a Corvette post in the Tech section. Most here do work on their own vehicles, and Mos their own Corvettes to get excited over working on.
BTW the GS had nothing different other than a paint scheme, and you could get performance options with it.
SO. 96 corvette,LT4,6Spd, and yes you could get the performance suspension. But I am sure you already knew that
Let's not give the kid such a hard time. Afterall, he's excited about working on a Corvette! When we were kids, most of us would have been excited too. So what, his first Thread was off the mark. Let's not turn him off to the whole Corvette experience. Maybe he'll eventually buy his first Corvette like we did.
Just thank God he's not bragging about a 4 cyl Toyota with one of those fart pipes on the back!!
Dig in, kid, and let us know how it all turned out.

and post pics of said car, and labor. People like threads that are step by step procedures to reference. In case they should ever work on their own car.

Could not agree more. Have fun 72Miura and take this to the tech section when it comes in!!
And just FYI Jon, Chevrolet also made and makes a Grand Sport.

Well while I can agree about a Vette over a ricer, there probably isn't one of us here who hasn't been roasted over a thread or a post we have made in the past. I think most of us lived through it unscathed (except me) and lived to fight another day. Really, are all nOObs really that thin skinned now?

There is a way we all respect each other here
But you have to remember some junior members are just that, juniors. I know i was a hot head when i was younger and i think the OP was just trying to defend himself not knowing how much we all rib each other here. I agree having thick skin is one of the things you need to have on these forums and a little good natured fun is all part of the experience.
I guess I was wrong, you could care less about Grandsports.
That statement is true. We could care less, which implies that we care a lot about Grandsports. I believe the phrase you were searching for is that we couldn't care less about Grandsports, which conveys a feeling of indifference.

Hear hear. Most of us have gotten our proverbial nuts in a wringer on here from time to time....especially during our early days. We live, we learn, and we get over it. Someone call the n00b factory and have the QC dept make sure the skins are thick enough for survival.

Welcome n00b. We need pics.
