Default Ride control question

Ok I had my ride control tested. Every code that is has show up even after resting the computer. On tour it work with no problems. I set it to sport the service ride control light comes on after going over a bump. and just pulling out of the drive way on the last setting it goes off right there and then.

Has this happen before? I drive a 1990 C vette with the L98 6 speed.

I think everybody here knows what you drive by now...

You say you had it tested. What was the opinion of the mechanic you took it too?

this may not fix it if you have a bad shock but try unhooking the battery, this will reset everything. If the light comes back on run the codes it will tell you what shock is setting the code.

can't blame me for loving my vette and letting everyone know what I drive. the mechanic said he want to cut my wire harrness till he find the problem. I am looking for another opinion if you know what I mean.

The codes will have to be cleared. I think you have to ground pin "C" 3 times within 10 seconds using the DLC.

You can check for codes using "A" to "C". Sounds like your familiar with the paper clip method?

With a little study you can pull the codes yourself.

Read the site thoroughly & then you can decide if you want to try it?

Personally I'd take a shot at it. Remember "A" to "C" for FX3

If you get anything post it.

FX3 was not working on my -92, turned out to be a faulty FX3 control box.

Here is a very nice article about the system http://corvetteactioncenter.com/tech/c4/fx3/index.html
