hello forum, new member here looking for the vette experts advice on my new build. i am trying to build a c4 pretty much from scratch...but putting a viper body kit on it. i have been reading nonstop for 3 months now and need some more advice from some hands on guys. i plan on buying a bare shell..have found 2 local but still looking for a better priced one...but i am starting with the engine first, goin to start building it up and put a turbo kit on it. my question is which 350s fit perfectly in the c4s? i am not a engine guy so i dont know which mounts and what space is needed for these different 350s in the vette. any suggestions? i obviously will be cutting corners as often as i can as i am just 24 and a young builder..so please keep in mind my budget is at minimum. any advice suggestions or comments are welcome toward my build
1.did you buy a kit or a real shell?
2.are you going to weld all the mounts on your self?
3.The motor in a car like this won't matter. 96' was the last bolt in 350 for your mounts.
havent bought the kit no..thats the 2nd part of the project, as far as welds im hoping to not many any fabs or mods at all unless i have to...if i can id like to buy the motor with the shell for guranteed fit...but have been told i can put almost any 350 in it..which would make it hella cheaper for me as my buddy has 3 sitting around
I looked in to this about 8 years ago. Back then you had to weld brackets all over the car.
I would buy a roller, or a wreck from this forum for like 1-2K, then put your stuff on it. I have seen several 84 vettes )because they are cheap) with just viper bodies on them.
I have seen one real nice one, the rest you can tell were vettes.
I give you credit I think it might be cool, except if you just put a 350, it will be a viper getting smoke buy grocery getters.
