SYS Flashing
I started my car this morning and got "SYS" flashing near the fuel gauge. I drove the car for about 10 minutes to a diner and had breakfast. When I came out and started the car there was no more SYS flashing. Any ideas what it might be? (I've owned the car, a 93 6 speed, for 5 years and have never replaced the battery, so I know that's at least 5 years old.)

I thought it might be the battery. As I said it's at least 5 years old and the winter weathere isn't helping. Besides, twice in the past four months I've had to jump start the car because I left the center console door open over night.
Thanks
Hey Frank, how's the snow down by you? I have a house in Forked River that I haven't been to since before the Feb 5 blizzard.

I lucky to get 3 years on a battery in Florida where is cooks. At the slightest sign or glitch I get a new battery. Not getting stuck for a battery, and besides, there is usually some warranty left so it does not cost me much.
Five years on a battery in Orlando is like walking on the edge of a cliff after a night of partying.
