Luggage Space in C4 - Cargo Area Dimensions
I tried to look this up through search but it seems luggage space seems to fall into lots of threads without actually being related to the amount of space.
How much space is there in a C4? I know the specs are 13 cu ft in a coupe and 11 cu ft in a convertible, but what are the dimensions?
Can some of you take some measurements and post them?
I'm trying to decide if the room will work for me as a daily driver and for the travel I have to do. Obviously, people used to travel with them, but I traveled in C3s also, and I don't think they would handle what I need now.
Thanks.

Yes, just the HxWxD is all I need. And you don't have to be blueprint accurate, just enough to estimate it mainly. I know no car is built perfectly square and flat in these cargo areas, so some places might be 18 inches, others 20, and some 17 - all along the same line.
Thanks.

I took these pics for someone a while back. 95 convertible:
Earlier convertibles have the speakers in a different spot so you have a little more room.
There is plenty room if you pack light... I follow the rule of if it doesn't fit, I don't need it.

I do not like putting the top up. I use soft sided expandable luggage and started wearing black levis (they hold up better than light colors). If it is not to cold out, we can pack for two for four or five days. You have to be creative though.

I can give you some numbers after work.
I can tell you that I can stuff, 2 sets of golf clubs with bags, 2 pairs of roller blades, 2 tennis rackets, 2 coolers, 2 bags of shoes and 2 good size duffel bags, into the cargo area.

Safety Car
My cargo area is big enough for some fishing tackle, ok, a lot of fishing tackle, 10ft surf rods (with top down) etc... For a race car there is a lot of cargo space!

I had a vert and it would fit a military seabag plus a carry on.
Now, in the Vert space plus the passenger seat I was able to load an entire Infantry Combat Load. That was pack, sleeping module, rifle, iso mat, all components and a shelter half.
They hold more you can imagine
On the Coupe I had enough to travel across country twice and attend a military school for 30 days, tool, laptop, and a triple Samurai sword display I bought in Missouri.
Here is a picture with the LT1 Vette fully loaded and you can tell there is plenty of space for more.
