Thanks for the tip again. Got all the parts in the mail finally, so I tore it down, replaced the film and all the bulbs. I can now say that my instrument panel looks fantastic! Fairly easy job, not too much blood loss on the knuckles.
Now that the speedo is working again though, I noticed the mph/kmh and actual speed is switched....In other words if it's set to display the mph, the lcd will show the appropriate picture for our mph system, but the speed digits show the kmh speed and vice versa... Not sure if that's something I did or it was that way before hand. Always something...but one step closer.

Glad to hear it worked out. I have no idea on why the readout is showing in kh but let me know when you figure it out.
I have confirmed I have the sunburnt polar film problem, since I can read the dash fine with my polarized sunglasses on. My question is, why can't I just buy the adhesive film and attach it on the outside of the gauges? Do I really have to take the entire dash board apart. Has anyone tried this? Also, has anyone used polarization.com for the film, with or without the adhesive? Thank you!
