The air conditioner in my 92 corvette is charged and ready to go, blows plenty of cold air when operating. However, after one or two starts, the light blinks and the air conditioner does not operate, just blows warm air.
I have had it checked and worked on 3 times to no avail. The Tech and I are stumped..
It could be defective hi or low cut out switch as long as your charge is correct. Had a lot of these bad. If you have ice cold lines with full correct charge and clutch is kicking out then you may have bad switch. Hi cut out switch is courtesy of your gov. They don't want you freezing yourself out on a hot day and saves gas. Low cutout switch prevents compressor melt down if charge gets low.
Thank you.
The system does reply that I am low on freon, however, that is not true. when I disconnect the negative on the battery, it resets the computor and the air comes on cold again.
