thanks for all the replies to my post.i think i will take peoples comments with a grain of salt from now on
Unless they are good comments, then fill your head with them and feel good!!!
But yeah, thats the right attitude. I always try to analyze peoples comments and see if they are reasonable, if not forget them!

hope to see you at some cruises. I will be looking for a beautifull red vette
Yes there are car snobs. They are all just cars to me, they dont define you who or what you are they are just things you drive. Doesnt give anyone the right to look down their nose at anyone imo.
I agree, if anyone thinks a cool car makes them cool they have a lot of problems. We don't need to waste our time on them.
So you think some corvette owners are snobs. Went to a cruise this afternoon.Lots of nice cars.A guy pulls in with a viper.Itwas a color a never saw before .I asked if it was custom he sad no. Then told me everyone takes pictures of it. they just pass by the corvettes. that when i stopped talking to him .I hate people like that
Hey Mike,
I'm replying for the guy with the viper. That particular guy is a vette before he is a viper guy and has owned several corvettes and still owns corvettes. What he was saying was that , as you noticed, the viper, especially because of the paint job..gets a lot of attention as there are not many out there. What his remark about corvettes was that unfortunately at a car show there are so many of them that people often walk by them because they are not as rare. If you remember he did point out the 1958 corvette and admired that car. Mainly because there aren't that many out there. Sorry if you took what he said the wrong way but he didn't mean it that way.r

Thats the best way to handle it. After I read your response to my post, I scrolled down and read the other posts after, and as you can see I honestly think you took his comment the wrong way as was pointed out by the last poster on here.
I know sometimes even people I know make off handed comments and they sometimes offend me, but then when I think about it, I realize, is it going to make a difference to anyone (including myself) 100 years from now what that person did or did not say to me.

I'm impressed with how this situation has resolved itself, the next cruise in should be fun for you guys. I think it's going to be a cool summer for cruising.
