Default Boat with C4 engine in it...

Was browsing the latest "Corvette" Craigslist ads in my area and came across this:

http://fresno.craigslist.org/boa/1683779179.html

Looks like an LT1 or possibly an LT4. Looks like a pretty clean installation or maybe it's some kind of special "Corvette" edition boat. Would be cool to have.

Nice boat but seems a little unusual to have a Corvette engine in a ski boat. I'm sure it runs great with a LT1.

Can you imagine dropping an LT5 in a boat like that and winding that engine up to 7K? Permagrin for the water...

Default Indmar Engines

Indmar Engines. Look them up on the internet. All their engines are in MasterCraft Boats, Malibu Boats, Supra & Moomba Boats as well.

During the late 80's and 90's, almost all ski/wake board boats had the LT1 engine in them. Mastercraft, Malibu, Supra, Moomba...

Malibu even had the LS7(ZO6) in their last rendition of their Corvette Boat.

Care to back up your claim? Other than by stating that Mercury Marine assembled the LT5?

I posted info already in another post responding to someone else, and I see someone above you is aware also. You are right it is not necessarily a boat motor because mercury had a hand in them, but they were put in some performance boats too. I posted a vid and a web link to a book on them.(wet vette)

OK, but the fact that an engine was installed in a couple of boats, hardly makes it a "boat motor"... just sayin'...

I acknowledged that in my last post.
It was more of a joke, because of the Mercury thing to begin with.

I dont think its the same motor you would find in your vet maybe very very similar but boat motors are made to run at very high rpms for a long time with no transmission. how long would your LT1 run for at 5500 rpm for hours with out a rest?
