Default Woot...Woot!! getting fixed !

Accountant called, taxes are done, not as bad as I thought.
Just ordered my Bosch Injectors, O'rings, FN filter, O2 sensor, intake gaskets.

Woot! No more oil leak for me!!
It'll take a week to get her in the garage to get "fixed" but at least I can afford it now.

Woot!

I had my gaskets installed a month ago and I am leak free. You will be happy you did.

I HATE a leaky automobile.

I HATE a leaky automobile.
After over 2K miles, Ive leaked about 3/4 qt. Not much BUT it leaks straight down on my exhaust pipe and then I get that burning smell, which really PISSES me off. Nothing more embarassing than picking my daughter up from school, then all of a sudden...here comes the stink....yuk. Or, at a stop sign next to another sports car and the same thing...ugh.
Since it's a vert, you can imagine.

Sooo...I'm fixing it. My Vette surgeon is charging $400 labour to do the gaskets, O2 sensor, injectors and clean the mess up (oil). Which I happy to pay for a number of reasons.
He used to own " Corvette USA" and he did nothing but vettes.
He has worked on Screaming_Conures vette ( forum member) and has come highly reccomended.
I'm not "gifted" enough, or perhaps too lazy to do this myself.

I bought the injectors from Jon at FIC, which I found here at the forums.
I had a question about which ones to buy last night and emailed him at 11:30 pm. He replied within 5 minutes.

At least MY money is going to ME instead of the "less fortunate" who don't bother working for a living. As I stated, my "Taxes"...aka. my $ going to "recipients" was a lot less than I anticipated, so I'm happy.

Sooo, I can expect at least 475 hp after this....right?

Be extremely careful with that K&N. If you over oil it you will fry your MAF and that is a $275 mistake.

Sorry to be a downer but I don't even run one. If I'm that concerned about airflow I'll just replace the paper filter more frequently (which flows better than a KN until it starts getting dirty...)

It comes pre-oiled. KN reccomends cleaning after x miles. I highly doubt I'll own the car before its time to clean the filter.

I paid for the full gasket set and did my whole car. No leaks for me anytime soon.

now I got to do something about the leaks when it rains.

I need to do my intake gasket, I replaced every other gasket on mine except the intake and that is what it has to be. I haven't done it yet because I am hopefully switching to vortech heads, intake and new cam, so I guess I have to wait, it's definitely my biggest pet peeve on my car right now
