Those C6 guys are too busy texting, cell phoning, or playing with their "stick shifts" to notice you. Ignore them. They'll be driving something else in six months when their leases are up.
The enthusiasts will wave but the others won't. Not everyone who drives a vette are enthusiasts.
I have had people driving pick ups to foreign made vehicles wave at me when I'm in the vette.
I actually get more waves from people driving the Hot Rod and vintage type vehicles. they're a good bunch!
I've noticed that too. When Im out in the C-3 I get more waves from the Street Machine/Muscle car group also and more from ALL of the VETTE community. Just not as much in the C-4.
I read this thread yesterday and this aftenoon driving home from work, I came to a red light. Heading in the opposite direction and waiting at the intersection was a silver C5 next to a red 350Z. I thought: I'm gonna test this wave thing, the next second, the light turns green and both cars take off racing. I saw in my rear view mirror the the vette had spanked the Nissan... I guess the C5 driver was too busy to wave!
Picked up my coupe down in Conn. in January. I din't get 2 miles before I saw another C4 comming in the other direction. He gave me the wave before we passed each other ( which was a good thing as it gave me time to process and wave back ). I haven't failed to get a wave from a C5 or C6 ( totaly sick car ) yet.
