That will work for me - $10,000 to take the car, deal!
Wait a minute....I have to pay THEM $10,000???
Never mind!
Same old story - somebody put a lot of money, time and effort into that but it sure is not something I'd even consider buying, at any price. No doubt someone will like it, but in my eyes it's ruined.

I remember those body kits being sold in the Eckler's catalog when C3's were still new, I'm getting old. They were popular and I would not mind owning one of John Greenwood's race cars the kits were made to look like.
The car looks almost identical to the car below. This from a book published in 1978 call "Corvette - An American Classic". Even the wheels look the same. The only difference seems to be the removed striping and the removed cover to the headlights.

Damn! That thing looks TOUGH! WHERES A GUY GET ONE OF THOSE!!
I dont agree with your statement. It may have been a salvaged car with lots broken body work. Here is one I put back together back in the day. I wish I still had it. Traded it for a 61 vette. I actually like the one for sale.
Those wild fenders were needed on the racing cars for the huge tires and were also designed swept up like that to add downforce. Zora himself helped out with many technical aspects on the racing machines and some of the street versions like the turbo cars. Like'em or not they are a part of Corvette history.

those were the days of the IMSA flairs and hell you could get a IMSA (widebody today) kit for everything from the corvette down to a pinto or that ugly little ford that had the german V-6 in it..(I want to say escort but that wasn't it). for its time that was the cool deal.
And I like Mikes, thats classy.
Now when everyone decided to paint EVERYTHING neon pink and green?? ok that was LSD in the water supply.

I think you are thinking of the "Capri"....the sexy European. I owned several, they were pieces of junk, but they were light, the V6 was a screamer and it handled very, very well.
