Saw a C5 on the freeway today pulling a trailer - is that a typical use for C5s?
Is that a real question or you just being funny?
When I was a kid I seen a perfect black I-roc with red interior pulling a trailer that was made out of the rear clip from another camaro. It used the trunk as extra storage. I thought it was the coolest thing ive ever seen at the time
People do strange things with cars. I know a guy that spent a whole summer doing landscape work out of his 86 honda prelude. It had a tiny little 1" receiver on the back and he pulled a riding mower on small trailer. I give the boy credit, He paid for his own school that fall by doing that.
Very popular for track days if you can't justify a full trailer and tow vehicle. A small trailer will hold a set of race slicks and a good sized toolbox.

...unless it's was a camping trailer or something!
Sorry, but camping trailer, race slick trailer? No Corvette ever built looks good pulling a f--ken trailer. Sure they may be able to, but it just looks like the owner is a real "hoopie". What's next, curb feelers and fender skirts?
I worked with a guy who liked to tow his boat with his C4 - he thought that for sure everyone who saw him was jealous: that he had a Vette AND a boat and that made him double cool.
I know I've seen a yellow C3 with another yellow C3 made into a trailer. I wonder if anyone has ever done one that still had room for passengers. Would that even be legal?

Exactly what the guy did with the first Vette I ever owned. Before I bought it off of him, he tracked it and towed around a small trailer.
One of the first things I did was sell the hitch. :-)
Don't know what max capacity would be on a C4 but it couldn't be much. I would think a C5/C6 could tow quite a bit with their frame the way it is?
Texas Stinger: Great photo of the 58 towing the Henry J. Wonder if they were heading towards warmer weather. Even had snow tires on the Corvette! Thanks for sharing

There is no Vette better looking than one with slicks in tow headed to the track (other than one with the slicks already on it of course). Some people like to do more than sit in the garage and cruise on weekends.
When I see a Vette with a chipped up nose and a trailer hitch I know that is somebody who really enjoys their car.
Lot of drivers do that to tow tires and tools, much cheaper than buying a car hauler, might do it to mine, the race tires may start to draw attention to my leo's.
