I need some help diagnosting a problem. I've got 32/35 PSI at the fuel rail. I had a questionable injector and replaced all 8 last weekend. I'm suspecting it may now be the fuel pump. When i accelerate modestly i'm getting a surge. If i jump on it she's fine. The fuel filter was changed last year. Mid America states this is common with C4's stored over the winter. It's a 91 with 38,000 miles. If I replace the pump is there anything else that should be replaced too? Does this sound like my problem?
Note: I noticed today when i started it up the climate control was on "Auto". I see by the code i have low freon. The car was REALLY surging while idleing until I shut the climate control off??????
Last weekend when i replaced the injectors was the most "Wrench" work I've done since I was 18 in the "60's". You guys are great and i love this Forum......It saves us all allot of $$$$! HELP!
My 91 surged a little too, more when the "Auto" mode was on.
Mine got better after replacing injectors, but still remained.
I fixed it by spraying carb cleaner down the little hole in front of the TB. It cleaned up the IAC. When you spray, your car will want to die on you, just spray a little at a time, and rev it up afterwards...repeat a few times.

worked for me.
Anytime there's an idle problem clean the IAC first. It's cheap and needs to be done anyway. The MAF could be it as well. I would recommend these checks before I spent money on the fuel pump.
I don't know if you done it or not but I would have replaced the FP regulator diaphram when I changed the injectors.
