I'm the proud new owner of a 96 coup and am having some problems with the air conditioning system. It takes about 5 minutes of running before it actually blows into the cabin through the dashboard vents. When I try to change the settings it stops blowing and needs 5 more minutes to reset itself. Is there anyway to remidy the situation?
The pevious owner said he had heard of a modification to the plastic/rubber intake function, but I don't want to try something that might damage the car. Any thoughts?
The two most common solutions for the problem you described are
#1: the vacuum controller connector ( As described above)
#2 is the vacuum check. this is located under the passenger side fuel rail cover. Iwould check this before ripping out the Vacuum controller. The question is ? Does your cruise control work ? If not, your problem is most likely the Vacuum check. They are connected to the same vacuum check coming from the plenum. Check that first...LEt us know
