Default 91 project

I bought a 91 targa in November. Brought her home and man I wanted to turn around and bring it back, but my 7 year old son said we can fix her. So I started little by little fixing what was wrong and now I am on to painting her. Just thought I'd show some pics of the progress....

Dang! That Vette's seen better days. Good luck with your project. Are you keeping it white?

yes it still will be white, but when I do the clear I am mixing in some pearl.... The vette has seen better days but now it has a loving family to keep her pretty.... I hope to have it color by the end of the month and driving it the next week.....

Grats.

1991 was/is the absolute BEST year for C4 Corvettes, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I might be slightly predjudice.

Good for your Son for having the confidence in his dad to fix the car so you guys could have some fun with it. Hope it's going well and you and your son are having a good time together.

Paint will make a hell of a difference. A little at a time and a project will come together. My wife and I bought a 91 a few years back. Had it up and running in a couple of months and repair and replace cosmetic items as we go. Projects can be fun. Our 90 is in the shop getting a new face (paint) right now. Had it 10 years now. Ours are a never ending project. There's always something.

Mrmtrtrnd it is fun rebuilding an icon. This is my 5th vehicle rebuilding (1st vette) My shop is an hour away from my house so I stay late (from my regular job) and work on her so my son doesn't get to help..... he will once I get the major stuff done and the weather gets better to bring her home.... I will definitely put the final results up in a couple of weeks.

Jamesnns I do like the 91 wish I got the ZR1 and six speed though... Not to much after market for the L-98.... I do have a project 350 4 bolt main I am turning into a 383 strocker,200shot that might find its way into this project.... I might be looking to trade her though after I'm done. Maybe a 94 ZR1 six speed...anytakers????

Looks like the '91 has found a proper owner.
Good luck!
