It is just a thought but maybe there should be a rule change for selling a vette here. Like being a member for lets say a month before you post a car for sale. Just a thought

I have seen that rule in other forums, I think that it's a good idea. It keeps people from registering just to post a for sale thread.

Maybe a poll should be taken.....before they lock this thread? My vote is "yes" a trial period of 60 day's....at the very least... before being allowed to sell anything here on the CF. Keeps out the rift raft!

There is a site here to make suggestions....Joe maybe you should do that! I am with you 100%....and I am sure many others here are too.

Stay in tune....

I don't have an issue with some one becoming a member to sell their car, what I don't like is the person who signs up to sell a friend or relative's car, complete waste of time, IMHO.........

I actually like the idea of the open forum, because it gives us access to good deals as well, as helps the new guy. plus it is nice when you are the guy trying to move something.
I have had great luck with sales on this forum, and met some greater people that is why I love it.

I really don't see a problem with that, It dose provide a service to the buyey who is looking for that part. No one forces anyone to buy anything here and if the seller tries to screw some one they never sell here again because people post and they are done on these boards.

This is exactly what I am talking about, I agree with Polo on his comments, but it is the ones who come in here just to sell something , it might be a good product and then again it might not. Remember not that long ago the member who got stiffed on the the shaft he shipped and never got paid. That is not what this forum is all about.

The few items I have sold here I was paided up front via pay pal, I sent a invoice via e mail, was paid, shiped item, that is how it works. I would never ship something before payment.

You are correct in your statment but I don't think he would of been stiffed by the good honest members like you here. this idea is only a possible way to police some of the tranactions here so that some scam artist from Nigera pulls one off here and then it is to late. We all laugh at the Craigs list C5 2000 whatever selling for peanuts. Lets hope some poor schmuck didn't get caught with his pants down
