So how many 87s have you had or have???
You said before the famous 409 Corvette was purchased about 10 years ago and it was the previous owner that gave you the 409 info.

Hokie, I like you...but this has got to stop. It's pretty warm here today, I've been on my boat in the driveway since 8am putting a new sound system in, I'm hot, sweaty and I just don't have the strength to put the rubber boots on.
Great...I read all the posts in this thread....had a good comment but now I'm laughing too hard at this "race in a 1/4 mile on one wheel" bit to remember what it was.....had something to do with Mrs Cleaver trading off Ward's black Desoto for a golden C5/Taurus with the super-limited-edition 409/400/LS1/LT1/L98 hybrid with the 4/6 speed combination auto/manual and duel-geared rear end with the genuine imitation non-stock factory cloth interior in Buick gray.
astepup said that....somewhat confused but still said it

Anybody who wants to try i got my car + my bike vs your car for pinks.
I'll tell you what... you talk a big game so how about my (almost stock) measly little 9 year old GSX-R 750 vs your 350hp machine on the road course of your choosing... Any idiot can ride in a straight line. How about you put the knee down sometime. Did I ever mention I also have just a bit of experience racing on 2 wheels?
I've been around a lot of racing both with turns and on a drag strip. There is no way an amateur takes that bike of yours to a 7 second 1/4, much less something in the 6.xx range. Do you have any idea what it takes to make a 7 second run?
I'm afraid, but I'll ask anyway... what has been done to make 350 hp from a bike that makes ~170 stock?

Damn Red! clean bike. I know what it takes to run 6's on a bike, just saw it on TV today. Insane to say the least. They showed a racer that went off the track last month (well, his bike) into the woods and wrapped around a tree. Amazingly, the guy only broke a wrist. Bike was blown apart, all except the frame and somehow, both tires still on the bike.
