Does he "deserve" to be given a new Vette? No. Do I have a problem with him getting one? Absolutely not. He has been an absolute class act through this. With kids growing up watching the cheaters, the murderers, and the rest... this is a refreshing change.

So we're now reduced to rewarding what/how you should behave like? As if throwing a tantrum or behaving badley because of a botched call is now considered expected?
Kinda bass-ackwards if ya ask me. What he did, or how he handles it should be expected, not rewarded.

Not a baseball fan at all but i can apprieciate the feat of a perfect game. i don't really think the guy was expecting anything at all after the bad call and probably just put it behind him looking forward to the next game. maybe it was just other peoples involved trying to not just make him feel better but themselves too. the pitcher handled the disappointment admirilbly. my worthless .02 too
So it makes the fans feel better...ok.
