I do notice that there are more close calls, but I think it's because the C4 is about 1/4 the height of your basic SUV piloted by a woman on her cell phone. For that reason, I'm aware that I'm virtually invisible in my C4.

Its a 'Vette. When the light changes to green the only thing other motorists should see is your tailights. I'm also M1 licensed, so I have plently of two wheel close calls with careless distracted motorists. Small profile cars are always just a little out of view for trucks and SUV's. That plus all the cell phone and texting fools out there make defensive driving even more important now than in the past.
I could have one behind my truck and never realize it's there.
Drive defensively.
I stay the heck away from people at all costs. They can't see you most of the time due to the car's profile. Therest of the time they're drinking stupid water.
I think I was on forum since 2001 just read a lot did not post.Just got into posting I think after I got on facebook last year kind of got me interested. But I have going to big vette shows since 1993 after I bought 73 in 1990.
I never notice any jealousy with other traffic. All I get is dumb a$$'s in their sisters old Honda wanting to race me.
Parking lots are a different story. Seems like in every parking lot the worst drive has to park near me.
Three weeks ago I parked 5 spots behind everyone else at the store. Went in for 15 minutes and when I came out I noticed a minivan parked very very close behind me. Remember now I'm FIVE empty spots away from all other parked cars. When I got to the car the minivan was actually touching my rear bumper. It didn't do any damage, but why? I set in my car for 15 minutes waiting on the owner of the minivan to come out. I was planing on confronting them about it so they would think twice about it the next time.
It was a bad day already and the longer I set the more pissed off I got. After 15 Min's I said "Fu*k-It" walked up to the drivers door on the minivan and put my foot through it. I only wanted to dent it, But the new minivans are made from cheap, very thin urethane so my foot went all the way through it. In almost a perfect foot shape.
They had to know they hit my vette. and since their was 20 other much better parking places and since they left their minivan in contact with my rear bumper they had to do it on purpose. so fu*ck em.

I think it has nothing to do with C4s, people are just BAD drivers and many are just inconsiderate. They cant judge distance, they dont know the left lane is for passing and they tailgate because everyone is in a hurry. I doubt it has anything to do with your Vet.
