Something happened --

( by the way - this is the longest Ive ever owned a single car
)The tires weren't new by far - the interior was fair - the paint a little less than fair - the 700 R4 slipped more than "Curly" on ice

It accelerated OK - top end ( on a closed track
) was good
But it cornered hard enough to stick Wifey #2 - head to the side glass
I could keep up with C-5's and 6's through a sweeping turns And pull away a little if I lead

I had the trans. rebuilt with a B & M shift kit installed - now / then I get a respectable chirp out of 2ed. gear
Got rear ended 2 years ago
had it repaired and completely repainted with a few extras thrown in Put it up for sale because I couldn't afford to keep it

Then got a decent paying job and decided to keep it / her a little longer
But as they say ---- "The thrill was gone"
For some reason I started treating is like ----- a car
Then ( insert threat title here ) I got a blow out two weeks ago

Since all the tires looked like Bologna casings - I wanted to replace all 4 at once
it's a daily driver now
I read a thread about drilled disk rotors - so what hell - I ordered a pair of fronts

Friday I finally got all the "BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Tire's" on da vette
and didn't seem to have much of a choice
As it turns out --these tires are sticker than my ex-wife's hands with money
( and I'm the Jew
)It rides better than ever
It hooks up better that ever
The rubber looks so good -- I bought a can of Autozone tire shine and I even repainted the wheels ------ and washed the vette for the first time in a year

I think the vette even smells better

I must have drive it 100 miles in the last 4 days
I'm in love again

Remove all those smileys and you may get a response...something about tires and a 700R4 is all I could read.
For now....
Had car long time, had it repainted and shift kit installed, started to get bored with it, had a blowout, bought new tires and some "lookey lookey" rotors and he likes it a lot again.

I mean, I'm glad you've rekindled the love affair with your ride, but laying on the ground twitching and frothing wasn't any fun for me either. I haven't vapor locked that hard since Obama won. Emoticons are great to convey emotion when used sparingly....otherwise they cause neurological malfunctions.
