Hey whats goin on? I just have a quick question to ask regarding maintenance. What can I do to try and keep my 95 in the best shape possible. I know about frequent oil changes but what else do you guys suggest to do both now and when I put the car away for the winter.
You can grease all the fittings on your suspension. Replace bad weatherstripping. Clean alot. You'll find alot of things to do and alot of problems if you spend the time and know every inch.
Winter add a trickle charger and fuel stabilzer. Make sure your coolant has a 50/50 mix or 70/30 mix coolant being the higher percent. Put carpet peices under tires to avoid flat spots.
Yup. And on the preventive maintenance tip, stop by your local hardware or plumbing supply store and get a big tube of Pool & Spa Lube. Apply with your fingers. It'll keep your weatherstrip moist and supple for many years to come.
I'll just add that it never hurts to make sure the drains are clean. The door bottoms have drain holes as well as the drain behind the fuel fill. White litium grease sprayed onto the hinges and the hood latch too.
Here is a Super Tune Up check list for a C4 L98. Much of this will apply to your LT1 and will be a good start. You can modify the electrical section to include your Opti unit.
