Your fine spray leak probably came after you had one of the hoses off from the T-stat change. Look around the throttle bypass hoses and check your waterpump connections for a leaky or loose hose clamp. While the engine is cold, feel under the waterpump for coolant leak out of the little weep hole. If it's damp, wipe it dry, then warm up the car and check it again after it cools off. You don't want antifreeze dripping out of a failing waterpump and going onto that Optispark distributor. If it gets inside there, it'll be replacement time pretty quick! If the pump is bad, that's a real good time to replace or do cap & rotor on the optispark since you have to pull the pump to fix one anyway. Hope for dryness under there!

IF you have bad head gasket you could be pumping exhaust gas through the cooling system which could blow the seals out but get that checked first.

Try a leadown test with the radiator cap off
I appreciate the response. I truly have no expectations of buying a motor with the temp having came down with the new TS haveing been installed and the temp. where it is.

Replacing the water pump and the TS and making sure the radiator is clean with a new air filter. Thank you for the information and I will keep in touch.

Hey guys
Yea we ended up doing this ourselves.
still hasn't run yet, time is short these days but its close.

To give a brief list of what we did.
-95 LT1 engine with a 95 zf6 trans. (converting from auto)
-replaced most bushings with polyester
-new ball joints
-rear gears change from 2.59 to 3.54
-LT1 exhaust

And in the process fixed little details like new rack and pinion boots (old ones were ripped). Finally got E-brake to work, etc.

just need fuel pump relay hooked up and hook up vacuum lines/EVAP system correctly which seem challenging right now.

IVe got some pictures i'll post!

Oh and havent seen the girl since.. LOL thats ok though she'll be missing out
