you might wanna be careful in telling him to remove it that way because he probably will take your advice, break the bulb and start a thread about you

Ok, those are the fog light bulbs. They are plug and play - well almost! What you have to do is remove the old bulbs. You will see that there is a plastic mounting bracket that holds your current bulb. There is a foam 'washer' you remove from the mount so you can get the wire underneath. It is 20+- years old so be gentle with the foam or you are going to be SOL. Remove the old bulb from the mount and mount the HID bulb in its place. Then put back the old foam washer over the wires for the new HID bulb. The old socket is then the power source for the transformer. I wrapped some electrical tape around the transfer wires so they won't short out and then wrapped the whole thing again in tape to keep water out.

Yeah, not quite plug and play. It would have been better if he provided a female socket to match up to the bulb sock to power the transformer. But I guess those are not available.

Be very careful installing it or you will break the bulb and be SOL. It takes a bit of patience to get it in there. Be very GENTLE and patient. If you smash it is going to crack and you will be SOL. If you bang it you are going to be SOL. If it won't go back off and try a slightly different angle. It will eventually go in once you get the right spot/angle.

Here is what it looks like mounted:

Hey you all, maybe if the thing came with instructions to start with, I wouldn't ask questions.

You old farts gawk at me, but im sorry. I usually consult the instructions that come with a product before I go screwing it up by not installing it properly. If I don't have anything, I ask questions on the proper fourm section. So im the stupid one, right? Because I came to the right place to ask?

And Flame Red, thank you. You were the only person here that was helpful at all, with PLRX comming in at a close second.

The rest of you = douchebags.

I am surprised that they did not come with instructions. Mine came with instructions, alcohol pads and tie wraps. What did they say when you contacted them about your installation problems? Did you tell them that you did not receive any instructions? I am surprised that they would not email, fax or snail mail you a set. I know that I have been reading some negative feedback on them recently, but I can not say anything but good things about them from my experiences.

Not to sound like a dick, but now that you know that the error was on your part, are you going to pay them for the merchandise?

Thanks for the link! I peed a little bit also, but it's probably due to my prostate problem.

To the OP, glad you got some assistance. As far as the people poking fun at you, you could've posted alot worse. You know, like by asking why the NOS bottle that you poured into your tank was causing your car to run a little rough.
