I know I'm likely too late but I would chalk it up to experience and call a locksmith to open it for $ 50.00 bucks or so because the weather stripping you are about to destroy and make an ugly mess of will bother you till you replace it and go into shock at the cost.

For about three fifty or so you can purchase the whole set and do them all !

I carry just a door key in my wallet and for those with PKE fob if it's in the ignition you can rock the car and unlock the door !

Call AAA Auto Club.

Or, if you don't have AAA, have a family member or friend who has AAA call it in for you. As long as their card is valid, you can transfer their lock-out service to any vehicle. I've done it for co-workers who accidentally locked keys in their vehicles before.

Oh, and get a spare key made TODAY.

Default Keys Out

Well, I finally got my keys out, but I may have discovered what locked the door behind me in the first place. I have a short in the wiring harness that is suppose to go into something called the courtesy lamp delay timer (whatever that looks like). My harness just hangs out and goes nowhere. It doesn't plug into anything.
I think when I took my passenger side floor panel off to see why my interior lights were not coming on, pulling on some of the wires to see which one was loose might have triggered something in the electrical system and locked the doors on me.
Now I have to figure out where this harness is suppose to go and what the part it's suppose to plug into looks like.
Any ideas? Does anyone have any pictures of this thing and where I might acquire one if I can't find it under my dashboard?

Unfortunately, that's the first place I tried to look for one, but the guy was real rude to me and said they were impossible to find, but my friend down the street had one. In fact my next door neighbor said he'd sell me one for $5.00. On line they're $5.95, but I don't want to pay for shipping. I was about to make a spare set because my wife won't leave me alone about it. (I thought she wanted me to make a spare set so she could drive it while I was at work, that's why I haven't ever made one yet...hee hee.)
The way I got in was the fact that the driver's door is halfway apart due to some crappy parts I in the middle of replacing anyways, so the lock/unlock bar is visible and easily accessable, so I pried back the driver window with a screwdriver and used the slim-jim to slide the unlock bar to the left and the door came open...and the alarm went off in my enclosed garage and almost made me poop myself. (I thought I unplugged that stupid thing.)

Do you really think he's been waiting around 3 days for you to tell him to call AAA?

Today is Tuesday. Did that guy ever got his Vette opened?

Poor troll never got back to get an idea or to post his trolling story.

Maybe he bought the renegade and found out there is AAA, locksmiths or perhaps he had a spare key and could not delete the original thread.

Yes, I got in. Thank you. Now I've got a code 42 coming up on my info center and I have a hunch it's due to all the wiring issues I have with the car.
