Default removing rear hatch struts

I need to remover the rear hatch struts in order to install new weather stripping. What is the best way to do this; from the top (glass end) or the bottem?

thanks

Make sure you support the glass adequately....that puppy is HEAVY. Doesn't matter top or bottom first....compress the clip, and off she comes. Takes about 15 seconds per side.
