95 EGR delete

Anyone done the EGR delete on a 95/96.
I see I can buy the plates for 39 bucks to block it off.Will I get a servive engine light and do I need a tune?
Why do this any HP gain?

No hp gains and it won't hurt anything. Just lets you clean up the engine bay a bit.

i don't think you will see much gains by doing it, i did it anyway
bought the plate and yes the tune is needed to ignore the error code

Todd,
As long as you leave the solenoid installed and plugged in at the back of the manifold on the drivers side when you remove the egr piping on the 95,you will not get a code. You will need to program out the air pump though if you dont remove it or it will stiil cycle on and off.
I just deactivated my air pump with my LT1 edit software until I get around to removing the pump. I think I have a few pics of the EGR removed I can send you if you pm me your e-mail address.
