Sarge, I thought you and j-vette might get a kick out of this.
Many years ago, in a land, far, far away, we were doing some training with some National Guard Troops. It was then that I learned it was very important to make sure your verbiage was the same as the people you were training with. We were on the range doing tactical problems.
It was dark, with no
Ambient Lighting .
Down range we heard some sounds. We heard the command to Light'em up! Which to us meant put a flashlight beam on the noise to see if it was a threat? The National Guard Troops had a whole different interpretation of what that command meant. Next thing we knew, a lot of round were going down range and we had another kind of light show.
