Fuel Pump??
I have a 1993 with 89K miles. Although I've had more than my share of repairs (Water pump, Opti, brakes, radiator, A/C, etc.) I've never had any disappointments with engine performance until now. Last few days, when I kick down on it on the expressway, I experience a huge loss of power, like the bogging down of the old Quadrajet carb from years gone by. Fuel pump, Fuel filter ?? Ideas??? Would like to tackle the problem before it leaves me on the side of the road.

Simple problem to fix. Replace the fuel filter canister under the car in the fuel line running to the engine. Also you should pull the fuel pump from the tank and check the fuel pick up tube and see if the fuel sock over the pick up tube is clean.
