Default Antenna

Over the past twenty years I have replaced the mast several times. So this time I purchased a new antenna. I installed it, tested it, worked fine. I disconnected the battery. So the next time reconnected the battery to take a ride, the antenna will not work? Can someone tell me how to check the motor when I remove it.

could you just put 12 volts to it? Maybe someone knows for sure. I'm an electrical illiterate.

But if it worked before you disconnected the battery and now it doesn't work when reconnecting the batt, I'm not sure the antenna is your problem.

1st check the fuse for the radio by pass side door-if that doesn't fix it then check relay thats located under neath the plastic by rear window lock assembly.remove the 6 philip screws and you'll see the relay.

I just had my antenna replaced and they said the first time they hooked it up, turned key on it came up & went down fine. Tried again and nothing... couldnt get it to do anything else after that first try.

Exchanged it for another antenna and it works perfectly. Said it was made in mexico... dont know if that better then china or not.

Check the fuse but I have had one fail within a Day. Ended up sending it back to Madvet. Replacement works fine.

Power antenna needs 2 fuses to function, CLK/CTSY and Radio. If both test good, pull the rear hatch trim and test the inputs and outputs of relay. Relay is a few inches towards drivers side from hatch latch.
