C-4 Shifting Problem
I have 1985 c-4 with a dough nash 4+3 transmission. This problem just started. I can't shift from 2nd to 3rd gear it hangs up in netural and won't allow me to shift. I can down **** from 4th to 3rd gear no problem, and from 3rd to 2nd. I just can't shift from 2nd to 3rd, reverse is fine. Any thoughts, tks Wayne Tn

Check your linkage for binding. Sound like that's your problem to me. Your problem does not indicate anything's wrong with the overdrive as just shifting through the 4 gears have nothing to do with the overdrive if it's not turned on.
