C4 Headlight Replacement
Probably sounds like a dumb question but what position should C4 head doors be in to replace the sealed beam ? Does the molded body piece behind the lamp need to be removed ?

I replaced mine a few weeks ago. Manually turn your headlight motors to expose the screws on the side. Remove the screw from the side and I believe two screws in the rear. Carefully remove headlight cover. Make sure you unscrew the headlight retainer and not the adjustment bolts. Remove retainer and then unplug the headlight. Then get some beer.

When I put the Hella E-codes in mine a couple of weeks ago I just opened the hood and changed them from there. No need to pull the body color piece off, but it would have made it easier. Might be another one of those "84 only" things though.
