I won't lie.... I'm considering one the wife's car is not worth fixing, giving her my daily and buying a set of wheels and wintertires and driving Barbie year 'round for a while.
I bought it 5 years ago with 55k on it, it now has 108k and runs very strong. It recently passed the California emissions test with new car levels and I didn't even do a tune up as I usually do before a test!
Congratulations on passing the california vehicle emmisions test. Time to celebrate.
Im next. I will be getting mine in the next few weeks.
Wish me luck.
When I got my '87 at the end of August I thought I would drive her a couple times a week..........Yeah Right! Other than the occasional day when I drive my PT Cruiser my '87 is my DD.

Thanks, Mike
It's always a big sigh of relief too pass the emissions test. Good Luck with yours and at least the technicians will have a nice shiny Intake too look at!

Mike, did you polish your engine components with California approved polish? Have the CARB number ready
They guy gave me a hard time when he saw the shorties on my 95. I told the guy that those headers are shorties and made in California. The *** wrote the CARB number and checked it on their website.
30 days in the hole tonyt - you're almost outta there. Thanks for serving our great country, from all of us at home.
Take care and be safe Corvette Brother!
Yep. Our state is broke. Best weather and most pot holes. I drive 40 miles each way to work. Hitting each pot hole is like a controlled crash. Every see the end of the Blues Brothers movie where the car just fell apart. Sometimes I feel the next pot hole I hit the car will be like Blues Brothers car. I'd rather tear up an econo-box car.
Yep, and hitting each pot hole in a C4 is pure torture. Mine has been a garage quenn since I bought her from my dad a few years back. She loves me back for keeping her out of the rain.
I recently had the privilege to own a mighty C4. Can't drive my truck daily: average 13 mpg; can't drive the wife's C6 (100 miles round trip daily is making the nose look like a pimply 14 year old) My wife and I use the C4 as a daily driver, it's purely therapeutic, and it is my new baby that I DO LOVE!!!!!
Hey Mike. I am stuck here in Iraq for my second tour. missing my 90 vette and 01 Electra Glide...one more month and this crap is over..going home.
Hey tonyt4870, First of all THANK YOU! Secondly, if you want any of us to stop over your house and drive your Vette or bike around the block a few times, you know just to keep things running ok, we'll be glad to help you out! Come home safe my friend!
I have a C6 I don't drive and even now got a diesel VW so I don't have to drive the C4 daily anymore, but I like it so much I still take it out 2 or three times a week.
I have a gentlemen's agreement with a guy working in Iraq to buy it when he come home in a month- I don't even care if he backs out- I'll just keep it going, but I would like the cash so I could buy a nicer one.
March til November - rain or shine. Though I try to take the bike out on the shiny days also.
Then my wife & I fight over the family hauler for the winter months.
