Changed the ZF6 MTF, had to suck the fluid out with a transfer pump, couldn't get the drain plug out (anyone else have this problem?) Pumped in some Pennzoil Synchromesh MTF. Smoothed out the shifts, even third is easy to get into, use to be hit or miss.
Put the rear lowering bolts on, I chose not to drop it much because I also put 1" spacers on the rears. Went ahead and put the spacers on, I'll need em after installing these OEM C6 wheels I painted white. Just ordered the tires, went with the Hankook Ventus V12s. I dig those tires, we've been running those on the wife's car with no complaints.
Almost forgot, I installed the driver side bolster panel I got from forum member redvtt, THANKS STAN!!!!!!
The ZF6 has a drain plug. Is the plug clogged up with asphalt/junk?
It was fairly clean, the 17mm hex went into it. I couldn't budge it, used my foot on the ratchet for leverage and it seemed like it was gonna strip the lug, so I said screw it and just used the pump. I read the pump dealio in another thread, ran to pepboys and they had one for under $20, another tool in the garage, can't complain.
