YES! Put them on my '94...seems like it quieted the wind noise a bit. The biggest difference is when I smoke with the window cracked open I don't get a faceful of ashes whipping through that gap.
Mine are riveted on and there is about 1/4" space between it and the weatherstrip.
Can I see more pictures of the wind deflector on your hood?
Yep, have them on my 95, riveted to mirror. They definetly deflect air but I also use the rear window hatch extender (about $30 in most of the catalogs), that really lets the air slide through with no buffeting.

my `87 came from the factory with them. I can`t notice too much difference between it & my `90, but the whine from the supercharger on the `90 might have something to do with that.
They came on all verts and '87 coupes. The factory ones fit better than the aftermarket ones.
They came on convertibles and were an option on coupes I believe. They do work they just fit really poorly.I took a set I had, changed the contour abit, pulled a mold off of these and made my own set.Cant post any pictures at the moment.

I notice a definite difference when I have the top and windows down
Here is a closeup of a factory unit. You can see why it helps with the noise. My only problem is it rubs against the weather stripping. I dress it now and that seems to help.
maybe that black plastic piece between your mirror and door is upside down. I have the factory deflectors and they clear my weatherstripping just fine.

These are some type of metal, factory installed, and are rivited on. They came standard on the '95 vert. But, I see what you mean. Maybe it was a Monday car and somebody had a hangover and was not seeing to well. I will have to check out another '95 vert. Thanks for the tip.
When I bought my car the driver side had one but not the passenger side. There was definitely more turbulence on the passenger side. I have since put one on.

I bought mine off the bay they came with the GM boxes. If yours are metal maybe that could be the problem. Mine are made of plastic, I didn't even be a perfectionist in drilling the mirrors and riveting them on and they clear the weatherstripping fine. Maybe they are not factory ones and have back to back tape still holding them on and someone then riveted them in place and it is the tape thickness that is pushing them closer to the weatherstripping.

These are plastic and next to impossible to get them upside down. When making these I found the mirrors are not mounted on the doors exact side to side.I also found one deflector is 5/8 of an inch shorter than the other.
