Big problem!!! Distributor rotor spining!!!
Ok, I have a 1989 Corvette. So I replaced my spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, coil, rotor and ignition module tonight. I fire it up and notice that when I turn the key to the "on" position (Not cranking yet) I can hear the rotor spining around in the cap..... Is that normal? The stock rotor did not spin when the key was turned to "on". I made sure everything was hooked up right....
So I crank it and it fires up and it's running smooth, firing better than ever has, when I notice! White smoke shooting out of my exhaust pipes!!!!!
Also, its idling high at 10,000rpm.Is the rotor suposed to spin with the key in the on position? The new one looked just like the old one so I don't think it is the wrong rotor/ignition module?
Could the white smoke be from me needing to take the car for a ride to let it adjust itself, to what is the best timing its probably had in 10 years.

Pleaes help, I don't want to break anything by driving the car like this!!!!

A bit of white smoke at fire up is usually the valve stem seals. Was it
just a bit, or serious fogging for mosquitoes? And your tune up didn't
included Sea Foam, did it?
