Does anyone know what the value of my 1985 Corvette would be?
Just in case....here's all of the info:
Mileage: 215,984
Stock Engine: 5.7L V-8 L98, 350ci TPI
RPO Color Combo #41: Exterior Black/Interior Graphite
RPO Interior Color #122: Graphite Leather
4 speed Automatic
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Power Drivers Seat
Electric Outside Rear View Mirrors
Removable Roof Panel
Base Leather Seats
Delco Bose AM/FM Stereo with Cassette
Cruise Control
Rear Window/Side Mmirror Defoggers
Flowmaster (3 chamber) Exhaust System with Chrome Tips
Car is in excellent condition:
Never wrecked
Fires right up (doesn't smoke or leak fluids)
Engine runs hard and tight - no hesitation
I still average 26mpg
Everything works (A/C, heater, stereo, etc.)
I have all of the records, including all receipts on all tune-ups, repairs, tires, lube, etc.
With those miles, and in California, probably between $2000-$3500. The high side is assuming the paint, interior and the rubber is in very good condition and with current registration (important in California). They are nice cars, there's just a lot of newer, lower mileage ones for sale cheap now.
$2000-$3000. Any running Corvette here will fetch the lower end. I just got $4000 out of my nice high mile '84....so it's finding the right buyer. Always put OBO on your ad. You'll get lowballers, but you can always say no. Honestly, once a driver quality car reaches that age, the miles aren't such an issue. How the car looks and runs become much more important.
$3K-$4K sounds about right. Mine is an 1988 and is about the exact same car. Mine only has 80,000 and I couldn't probably get more than $6K at the moment out here in CA.

First off, Im probably the only guy on this forum who still thinks early C4's are worth a good price. It sounds like your car is still decent, but with mileage that high, you will most likely only be in the $3000.00 range.
Pfft, send it out here to sell. Everyone thinks these things are gold. There's an 85 that sold out here for $8000. Mid-to-high teen's for a later C-4. You could probably get $5-6K for that here.
It's disgusting, I tell you. (I'm looking for a second one and can't believe the prices)

Keep Your 85 Corvette. Not worth selling in this economy.
No one will give you a decent price for it. At least in the USA.
I keep reading the US Economy wont improve till 2015.
1984 - 1996 C4 Corvettes will likely stay at low selling prices for some time.
Even the 1990 - 1995 ZR-1 Corvettes are not selling anywhere near what they were a few years ago.
