I've had Chevy's all my life and consider myself a petty good mechanic with them. Until now... I have a 92 Lt1 that runs great but, it's been giving me a headache lately . Well he goes..
[B]Car start fine and runs great for about 4 to 5 miles and then turns off . Then after 5 or 10 mins it turns on with no problem for about another 5 to 10 miles. I've changed the optispark and module on it and still the same . Grounds look good cause vehicle has no rust at connections. Need help diagnosing this . Any input is highly appreciated .
No codes, all im getting in codes is right front o2s .Just order the coil in MSD and hoping that takes care of it. If not.. Going to replace the ICM. Give you guys update tomorrow.. Thanks for all the help you guys..........
The Corvette shop manual has a step by step process to determine the cause of a wide range of problems. I'd be willing to guess it probably has a step by step guide with regards to the car shutting off once it is running.

May have to get one . I've been using All Data Pro.

I have the full set for my 95. The manuals are hard to read, but invaluable at times. With the car not throwing any codes though it is difficult diagnose the problem, past history here on CF does indicate the ICM is most likely in this case.
I agree with above - sounds like an ICM issue. Did you apply the dielectric silicone that comes in the box to the ICM? Alldata is a great source as well. It has everything the factory service manual does, but it's laid out better which makes it easier to find what you're looking for.
If no codes I'm guessing is not electrical. Sounds like a fuel problem, make sure the fuel line is open. How much fuel is in the tank, could be a fuel pump issue.
