I don't usually drive the 'vette work, but last year I'd
loaned the Pathfinder to Adm. Linda. There's a guy with
a C6 that parks at the far end of the parking lot. I
parked next to him, with one empty space. I came out
to leave, and somebody had slotted at C5 in between.
C6, C5, C4. It reminded me a bit of the "murder's row"
shot of Essex class aircraft carriers at Ulithi anchorage,
1945.
Have to say though, the C4 does hold up well with it visually. And to be honest, it makes me wish the C6s were a little less "cab forward" design and had more of a longer hood/shorter tail look to them. Sitting next to a C4 like that you really notice that (albeit minor) visual deficiency in the C6. Just this guys opinion.
The C4 does hold up really well for sure. You don't notice how much so until they're ligned up beside each other.
I like the C6 but to me there's just something missing on them. Maybe it is the stubby nose I'm not used to.
For me the C6 is the perfect blend of C2 - C3 prominent fender and the C4 modern wide low wedge. The C5 was very rounded to me (not saying I don't like it) and the C6 really sharpened up the lines and looks aggressive as hell.
Thank for the comments on my 88! My son did ask if I bought the C6 for Christmas and I just laughed and reminded him that he was going to college soon. I also appreciate the "photograghy lessons"! I can use them too. He is an A student and a great golfer. He also helps me with the vette when ever I'm working on her. I have the keys in our "key jar", and he asked permission before he took her out for the pics. He told me he wanted to get them a little closer together, but he didn't want the owner of the C6 to get nervous if he was watching. I like that respect for another owner. The 88 is tucked back in bed as we received a little snow two days ago, and they put down enough salt to rust the fenders off my truck. Other than starting her, she won't see the outside of the garage until mid March.
Sounds like a good kid you have there! asked permission to use the vette, came up with the idea of taking the pic, and respected the other vette owner...
