Not exactly a Corvette quote but...I earned the nickname Redline at work. So I am planning on putting in letters on the back window of my Vette. "Redline for a Good Time."
I NEVER pull into the parking lot and bounce it off the rev limiter, no mufflers and all...
Many, many, many years ago in a land far away, there was a very pretty blond Princess that travelled Whittier Blvd. in Whittier, Ca, in a black Corvette on cruise night. The sign in the back of her vette was, “You beat me, you eat me!”

That was the best Corvette sign I ever saw.
That legend has been "seen" in every city and state of the country. Around here it was supposedly a white Vette, and everybody "knew about it" it but nobody actually ever saw it that I know of.
Maybe somewhere it actually was true. The again, maybe not.

The original beat me you could eat me. Corvette was a blue 65 Corvette 327 365 right here in Queens New York was raised on Chris Bay Boulevard. How do stories get out of hand and spread from New York to California I don’t know but it was 19 6667 and the Carr belong to the wife of Jimmy Lodato who at that time was the owner of Winfield collision now called WAC towing car was at 3:27 365 four speed and I remember to call well. She was a hot blonde and she came out of Canada and she married Jimmy who was a well connected kind of guy if you know what I mean that’s the original beat you can eat me. Don’t let anybody else bullshit you kid I know this is an old thread, but I just had to put that out there.
