Locking lugnuts.. Do they work ?

The locking lugs that I have on my '87 don't have the
puzzle indentation in the end but rather grooves in the
side. The wrench mates with the grooves, and has the
same size hex on top as the regular lugs, so the lug
wrench mates up. It's no big deal to use.
I believe the locking lugs came from the factory.
Anybody know who made them? My brother wants
a set for his car (not a 'vette).

I have the order form at home the for removal socket for the '95. If that will help, I will look it up tonight, and post it tomorrow if you want. I ordered two to be on the safe side.

Try calling them, maybe they can help. I've heard they will still manufacture you a new keyed socket if you have the right info (I believe the cars came with some kind of identification card when new). Perhaps they can supply factory-style lugs as well.
Though the easiest way would probably be to buy some used. I think a lot of people take them off because they are a PITA.

If they want something, they'll get it. Locking lugs, alarm, whatever... there are ways around.
I use 1 locker per wheel but don't think that would actually stop them from being stolen. Like was said above... that's why you pay for insurance.

I need it for my C4 1984. I bought it less than 1 month ago and it did not come with the key to take away the secret of the wheel, which is original. In my research I found AMCOR. The problem is just to identify what the secret is already that the part number card did not come in the car

Most of the replacement lug nuts are an even number of sides if it's not on the end. There are sockets with splines in them that most will fit over many of the security lug nuts and can remove many (found that out on my truck). When I bought new rims I got a full set of security lug nuts that take a special socket and is required for all the nuts on the car. I've tried all the various sockets I have and none will takes these off except for the special one. I actually got 2 and keep one in the house just in case.
