Nice find. I would not feel guilty. The seller is probably very grateful that she is rid of it without the hassle of having to deal with all kinds of idiots. I call it a win-win. You did not suggest the price, she did and you gave her what she asked for. Both parties are happy. After all, it is just a 20+ year old used car.Now if it was a Stingray, well...
Thanks, Car has been in my driveway for about a month(reason for diffrent pictures and dates), took some time to work out the paperwork. It's has been sitting in her garage for about two years. Wifes friend is happy she sold it to us, told me she knows it will be fixed up and taken care of. Ordered the parts to fix the light motor, started putting together a parts list for the interior.
Nice find.... In December I picked up a 88 ANC for $5000 after all the inspection items were taken care of (new tires and a pair of front hubs) and I still (even after reading this thread) think I stole the car...
You however I have to admit are a better THIEF Then I am....
Mine was a divorce purchase ... Guy (or Gal) just wanted the car GONE...

I agree. It's not like you tossed out a figure. Great score.
Why do I never find deals like this? I can have $1200 cash in 5 minutes.
I'll beat that, I'v got it in my pocket! Bty I missed out on one 6 months ago. It was an estate sale with a 89 with 5k on it for 2500, I think a dealer jumped on it and I called about 4 hours after the ad went up.
I'm glad to read a story where the car wasn't a basket case. For short money you could be cruisin. Forget the top, just leave it down, get some seat covers, sterilize it and your good to go.
