 Sounds like she's gonna move when you're done. That supercooler is a pain in the rear, we're putting one on my roomates Chevelle right now, and after going to six stores, we finally found NTP fittings(We had to use two fittings from Napa, one to downsize, the other to fit into the downsized fitting).
good luck. u-joints are a good idea while you have it apart. By the way, ive heard others say you can switch the rear in 4 hrs. Well it took me 4 days. Course im slow, and I did the u-joints, fuel filter, speedo gears etc. but not the TC yet. Ill bet its going to be day and night difference when your done!!

Don't forget U-Joints while you're in there.
Have fun.

Yeah, I've been debating the whole U-Joint issue. The vette only has about 41k on her - when do the U-Joints go bad anyway?

4 hours! I'm 6 hours into it and the diff still isn't down. Of course, I've been taking my time with the digi-cam and labeling everthing in it's own zip lock bag. I'm going to end up doing the entire drive-line (diff, propeller shaft, tranny), so I'm making sure that I get everything right the first time. :)

All depends on your driving style. If you have around $100 to spare, get some cold forged units from Tom's Differential. Or you can call up Chris K @ the # below and he'll hook you up with some. :yesnod:

Scorp - do you know if Chris has the cold forged u-joints or the stock GM ones (or can he get both)? Thanks.
Why ask Why? Just do the U-Joints. We got guys that do them every year as preventive maintainence.
Yep, I'm going to do all of them. I was removing the passenger side half shaft and the end cap of the ujoint stayed in the yoke - I never knew all of those little needles were in there! :(
BTW Chuck called me, Torque Converters are being ordered
Excellent - looks like it'll arrive just in time! :D
